Oh well, I wanted to surprise Red who is in Brussels (business) at the moment but with this great news re the sticker and the freedom of movement, I won’t be able to buy that cheap ticket that I had found online. Oh, well, life’s a bitch.
As I commented below, what p&$££ me off is the fact that the measure is illogical. I mean, I already have the freedom of movement stamped so why do I have to apply for a visa? They should just stamp the new passport or add the sticker of the visa or whatever they have to add and that’s it, but no! they have to charge 23 euros, make me go to Castille (from 8 to 12), drag Red so that he can sign whatever he has to sign and apart from that two pictures. It just seems illogical but anyway.
My Peruvian friend is in the same situation. He is stuck in Malta…He wanted to go to Barcelona and he can’t though his partner is working here legally and all…it looks like this stuff is a mess…
If I had kids and I go abroad would they be able to tell me that I can’t comeback?!
Well, anyway, I have to start studying seriously, and I am realising that the law is very bombastic…I could do with some help as I have a headache with terms like restitution in integru, action de in rem, equity imputs an intention to fulfil an obligation, writ, action rei vindicatoria and action pauliana…I guess I could do with a hand, J’accuse, Claire? Just kidding guys…

The law is a tool. Much depends on who is passing on the tools of the trade. Granted, the actio rei vindicatoria can be a pain in the ass... but there's more to law than legalism... enjoy the trip! Don't you just love the actio debitor debitoris mei?
When the teachers are speaking lately I feel like I am high on something...LOL I honestly don't have a clue what the actio debitor or rei vindicatorio or anything legal for that matter is...I will use wikipedia like crazy and probably most of the answers are in the 400 pages book they have given us...Gee...got to get back to the book now that I think about it. Was waiting for a call from Red but I guess he hasn't arrived to the hotel yet. Lucky him that he will manage to see a bit of Brussels... :)
I never thought of Malta as having any kind of bureaucracy. I hope you get things straightened out. Germany is strange too. You can have a permanent visa, have lived here for thirty years, but if you leave for more than six months, you have to start the visa process all over again from the beginning.
P.S. I tagged you!
Hahaha I'm afraid I won't be much help, I'm struggling so much with my own studying right now! Let's say..... contact me in a few years' time hehehe =)
Best of luck with everything :) xxxxxx
Sorry to hear you won't be able to buy that ticket.
Good luck with the studying.

@Hi Indie :) Wow...things are even more complicated in Germany then? Oh dear...
Thanks for the tag. Will play along and will post it later on.
@Hi Claire :) Oh...I guess I will have to hang on to wikipedia for the layman terms :)so that I can understand the book that they have given me LOL Wish me luck :)
@Thanks a lot for your nice wishes FPE. Have a lovely weekend :)
@Thanks Sandro ;) You rock!
Sorry to hear they give you such a hard time :(
I think trying to understand the system will always be frustrating somehow. I have the same problems over here in a way but at least I don't have the visa annoyance...
I hope they will solve the issue soon!!! It sucks :(
