January is a killer

Why do I feel that January is taking ages to be over? I am not only counting the days but also the hours. The fact that the December wages came before Christmas is not helping either. To be honest I was meaning to be very careful this time with all the Christmas hype but it’s amazing how the “environment” and I mean the Christmas music on the streets and all the people Christmas shopping was like a spell to me. Gee, I won’t do it again this year. I bought too many things that I didn't really need. (I am not talking about gifts to friends, that of course I don't regret having bought).

Now the Sliema streets are basically empty (except for when the sales were announced) and there were some days when I wouldn’t see a single person in the narrow streets close to the mall. I guess many people are more or less like me: almost broke :) and only waiting for February to start.

Después de las festividades de Navidad y Año Nuevo y al haber recibido el salario unos días antes de Navidad, estoy luchando por llegar al fin de mes :(

A veces el sentimiento de las compras navideñas me ha hecho gastar demasiado y espero no hacerlo este año. El hecho de que paguen antes de final de mes en diciembre no significa que pagen más ;)
